Some stories are too remarkable to remain forgotten.

The Obsidian Notebook began with a simple question: what happened to the men whose names rarely appeared in the history books?

Years of research into Special Operations Executive missions, wartime intelligence files and first-hand accounts uncovered a world where ordinary people were asked to accomplish extraordinary things. Many of those operations were stranger, riskier and more audacious than fiction could invent.

My own career has been spent in operational environments where planning, discretion and trust are everyday requirements. That experience has shaped the way I write, not by retelling my own story, but by understanding how covert operations are conceived, executed and remembered.

The Obsidian Notebook blends documented history with original fiction. Every mission featured in the Archive is real. Every historical organisation existed. The fictional characters simply walk through the spaces history left behind.

History provides the evidence.
